Terry Padgett started his tribute to Elvis in church after being asked to perform at a widows’ banquet in Leeds in December 2001. Since then, he has performed at countless events, including street dances, festivals, private parties and grand openings. He performed for Governor Bob Riley at the Leeds Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. Terry takes pride in the shows he brings to his audiences, and it is the audience’s reaction that brings life to every show. He understands the significance of his role as Elvis, realizing there will never be another King of Rock and Roll, but he considers it an honor to bring the image of Elvis to the stage, and his uncanny portrayal of this superstar legend speaks for itself. Jason Petty’s “The Swingin Cowboys”

Nationally renowned singer and performer Jason Petty, known throughout the country for his poignant portrayals of Hank Williams, comes to Pell City with a new show. His latest musical creation, The Swingin Cowboys, is a tribute to the music of the Great American West. As only Petty can do it, the songs of Stephen Foster, The Singing Cowboys and Western Swing come to life — if only for one more evening. An authentic Western set accompanied by some of the best musicians in the country will make this an unforgettable night. It’s Petty at his best.

Pell City Players are back by demand for this popular season finale. It is top-notch dinner theatre and presented as only this talented theatre troupe can. The scene is Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at 30 and facing diminishing marital prospects. Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazelhurst, is back after a failed singing career on the West Coast, while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow, hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not to fall in love with her. In the end, the play is the story of how its young characters escape the past to seize the future – but the telling is so true and touching and consistently hilarious that it will linger in the mind long after the curtain has fallen.
